Medal for all finishers

For the 10k race there will be trophies for the overall winning Man and Woman and the first 3 in the following age categories Men, Senior, 40+, 50+, 60+ Women, Senior, 35+, 45+, 55+

For the 5k, race special medals to the first 3 boys and first 3 girls in two age groups:     10-12 and 13-15 and a School team trophy for the first 5 boys and 3 girls.

Both Downland courses are a mixed terrain is a mixture of grass, roads and tracks. The start and finish will be in Anstey Park. The 5k Challenge starts 5 minutes after the main 10k event.  Please note, the course is the same as it has been since 2004.  Please follow marshal’s directions. The course for the 500m & 1k races will be in Anstey Park

The course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes. 

Please do not run the course before the event. Part of the course runs over private land which is normally closed to the public – the owners allow runners on their land only for the race.

Parking and Transport
There is limited parking in Anstey Park so please park elsewhere if possible. The Health Centre (400 metres along Anstey Road towards the town centre) has about 100 parking spaces at the rear.

There are limited changing facilities at Anstey Park. Come changed and ready to run if possible.

There are both men’s and ladies toilets in Anstey Park. They will be clearly marked.

No dogs are allowed on the course



By entering this event you agree to the below terms and conditions

I hereby declare that (1) I am an amateur according to the eligibility rule of UKA, (2) I am medically fit to run and I will do so at my own risk and agree not to hold the organisers responsible in any way for any injury or loss resulting from my participation in the event, prior to, during or after the event. (3) I understand the organisers reserve the right to alter the arrangements and conditions should circumstances require. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs and prams.

In the unfortunate cancellation of the event through circumstance beyond the control of the race organisers.  I understand, and accept, the rules and terms of the entry including that there Will be no refund of race fees.
