Favourite Events: 3000m Steeplechase
How did you first become in interested in athletics?
At Primary School I took part in the County Cross Country and absolutely loved it - from there I joined my mum's old athletics club when I started high school and haven't looked back!
What is your best performance to date?
10th at this years World Championships - where I ran a personal best time to make the final - after carrying an injury since the start of season.
What is your most important training session?
I have a key indicator session of 3x 1000m with 3 minutes recovery - which shows me what shape I am in for racing.
What is the most impressive/craziest training session you have ever known somebody complete?
Not sure - out in Kenya I watched a group of at least 30 male athletes knock out some ridiculous sessions on the dirt track, weaving in and out of goats and cows!
What are your goals for the next 12 months?
I've just been selected for my first ever Commonwealth Games - so my goal is to be fit, healthy and competing to the best of my ability for that!
What is the most memorable athletics event you have ever watched?
Bekele (ETH) and Dibaba when they were at their best - destroying fields at the Olympics over 5 and 10,000m
Which athlete do you most admire?
Usain Bolt because he's brought in a different side to athletics and captured the public interest again.
Where is your favourite venue that you have competed at?
I have visited some amazing stadiums this year. Monaco and Rome were lovely stadiums. The Berlin Olympic Stadium was definitely up their too - as it had such a great atmosphere. For me personally, nothing could match up to London.
What is your favourite:
Book: Nothing in particular - I studied maths and accountancy at university - so hopefully I never have to see a book again in my life.
Film: Don't have any films in particular.. The Beach, Django Unchained, Anything with Ryan Gosling.
TV Show: New Girl, Made in Chelsea, CatFish... Any reality TV that is AWFUL but I can't stop watching.
Shameless Plug – Is there anything going on in your life that you would like to mention?
